Matrix is a representative of the cyberpunk genre of films. The main plot revolves around the character Neo, who with the help of other people, discovers that the real world he though he perceived through his senses is only a virtual reality, a ruse to subjugate people. In sequels he discovers that there was a war with machines and since machines were using solar energy for power, the humans had in last desperate attempt „burned the sky“. The machines discovered that the human body produces energy, and how that energy can be harnessed. So they connected humans who survived to the power grid. To keep them from rebelling, they also created a virtual reality, Matrix, to which was every human connected via the neural interface, so they were unable to tell the difference. But some humans escaped and created an underground society. They launched attacks into the Matrix, freeing other people. To be able to do this, they had also the neural implants and also the hacker program, that allowed them to project their avatars into Matrix. During one of these raids, they discovered and freed Neo. They trained him, not in the common sense of the word, as with the neural interface it was possible to „download“ the kung-fu, or the pilot program for helicopter directly to one's brain. The training mainly consisted from teaching and realizing that in the virtual world, nothing is real, and the only limit is a human mind. So in the end, Neo was able to stop the bullet in the air, as he could perceive the source code of the Matrix, and change it on the run as he needs.
