Mosquera-Espinosa (2010) demonstrated
for the first time the use of Rhizoctonia binucleated
(Ceratobasidium) isolates obtained
from orchids as a potential biocontroler of R.
solani, a rice pathogen, and other pathogens
like Fusarium spp., Phytophthora spp. and
Pythium sp., as a promising alternative for
biocontrol strategies within an integrated
management program.
