4.3. Researches on indoor air quality and ventilation effectiveness in Malaysia and south east Asia
In Malaysia, [83] stated that an indoor air quality research in industrial buildings was conducted in 1998 by Zainal and Adnan. Measurements of concentration levels of main indoor contami- nants and air exchange rate were carried out. The air exchange rate (ACH) ranged from 0.1 to 0.3. This study was conducted during the period when the country was facing the environmental haze.
In order to create an IAQ profile for a building, an audit methodology was developed and its advantages to the building owners or facility managers were evaluated. This audit was conducted in the administrative offices of a hospital building [3].
