There are three main industrial chains in the Lubei ecoindustrial
park: the stepped utilization of seawater chain, the
ammonium phosphate–sulfuric acid–cement chain, and the cogeneration
of salt, alkali, and electricity chain. The industrial processes
that utilize sulfur can be traced through each of these three chains.
First, in the stepped utilization of seawater chain, seawater
(including sulfate ions) is delivered into the system. The primary
brine is used for aquaculture, and is subsequently evaporated further
to produce secondary brine, which is delivered to the salty
gypsum production plant. The salty gypsum production plant is
connected to three downstream plants. Some of the secondary
brine is delivered to the potassium and magnesium salt production
plant, which also receives seawater. At the end of this industrial
chain, the sulfate ions are incorporated into the plant’s potassiumandmagnesium-salt
products. The secondary brine in the salty gypsum
production plant is transformed into salty gypsum products,
and these products are delivered to the cement clinker production
plant and to the cement products production plant. These two paths
produce final products.
