In my opinion, I think it is quite right to consider Haier in China and Haier anywhere else separately. However, as far as I am concerned, Haier in China has been providing premium quality product in China marketplace. Price of their product are normally very high and people are ready to pay to get a glimpse of their brand value. Their product are consider one of the best in market partly also due to their world class customer service. Nonetheless, they said Haier has been down in recent years due to their effort to regain market share with one of their biggest competitor Midea. According to the research, approximately around 55% of the Chinese market goes to an unbranded product, this is one thing that Haier should really consider about, I also think they should expand their line on to second and third product accordingly. Regardless, in North America, Haier is consider normal, middle class product alongside many other brands which is nowhere near what Chinese market perceived the brand. It is up to their marketing and sales tactic to sell here. Different part of the word, different approaches has shown how adaptive and agile the company really is.
