Please outline any curfews or household rules you would like your au pair to follow. We would like the au pair to be home at a reasonable time (not yet determined) on nights when they will be caring for the kids first thing in the morning. Days off would be more flexible, though we will want the au pair to return home to sleep every night unless it is arranged ahead of time. Smoking at any time is never ok, and some alcohol is ok. We do not want the au pair to be coming home inebriated and spending a lot of nights out drinking, and we will need to discuss and set guidelines for drinking at our home. One drink some nights at home is fine, but nightly drinking/multiple drinks per night will not be accepted. Drinking and driving will not be tolerated. We try to keep a tidy house and would ask to au pair to clean up belongings, dishes, laundry, etc and maintain a tidy bathroom. We will designate a space in the pantry and fridge for the au pair to have any personal food items she would like separate from the family. Cell phone and internet use during work hours would not be permitted unless necessary--such as to find directions somewhere or contact Brad or Aubrey. We would like the au pair to have their cell phone on them so we may get in touch if we need to, but texting, talking to friends, browsing social media, etc would not be allowed.
