Pathogenicity test
A 21-day-old rice seedlings of the most common
cultivar in Egypt (Giza 177) were grown under
greenhouse conditions, and sprayed with a spore
suspension (5 · 105 spore ml1) of one of the 30
isolates of B. oryzae until run-off occurred. Five
replicates were used for each isolate. Disease severity
(DS) and disease incidence (DI) were assessed. DS
