three months later.
“What do you want, Baldy?”
“B-baldy? Do you have to be so mean?”
You huffed and turned away.
“Geez, no wonder Genos is down in the dumps. You’re a stick in the mud. Why does he even like you?”
Your eyes widened in shock.
“Eh? What? Don’t tell me you didn’t notice?”
You gave him a deadly look, still refusing to grace him with your voice.
“Tsundere huh? Genos sure tripped the flag."
You stared outside like rainy weather was the most intriguing phenomena in the world.
“That popular idiot can just go and die. I don’t care how you treat him but he’s my apprentice for the time being so cut the guy some slack.”
You continued pretending not to hear him till the bald hero sighed in exasperation and walked out of the hospital room.
“Sensei,” a voice called from down the hallway – Genos had come to see you.
“Oh, bearing gifts. Give me a bunch of bananas too!” Saitama joked.
“No. I left some in the apartment so please have those instead.”
“Tch, whatever. Go get em, Tiger.”
“My name is Genos though…”
Saitama’s face assumed its usual blankness. Genos could tell from that expression that he had lost interest in being there. In contrast, your expressions always contained some kind of emotion - anger, joy, excitement or sadness. It was a delight to behold. And that was why he fell in love you.
