2. Effect of lights on PAL activity in leaf blades of cv. Koshihikari infected with
M. oryzae. M. oryzae-infected (a) or distilled water-treated (b) rice plants were kept in
a moist chamber, and then incubated under the natural( : ), white ( -) and red (A)
light conditions for 0, 24, 48, 96 and 168 h. Each value is the average of three separate
experiments with three plants per experiment and the bar indicates the standard
deviation. Values with the same letter do not significantly differ according to Tukey
Compromise (P < 0.05).
