The purpose of the THAI Safety Management Manual (TSMM) is to ensure control over the safety of our operations and its documentation in accordance with requirements and regulations of various national authorities including the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), relevant foreign aviation authorities, local authorities, applicable international regulatory bodies, and original equipment manufacturers.
In addition, the manual aims to ensure full compliance with our own internal requirements for high standards of safety at THAI.
The THAI Safety Management Manual (TSMM) provides overarching guidance for developing, implementing, promoting, and maintaining Safety Management System (SMS) policies, processes and procedures in all THAI operational activities. The SMS at THAI is proactive, predictive, and data driven in nature. The SMS components include collection, analysis, and dissemination of safety information. The purpose of the SMS is to provide a framework for maintaining a safe operation through the identification of hazards, mitigation of risks, and promotion of safety awareness throughout the organisation. The primary role of the THAI Safety Management Manual is to promote the development of a SMS within each of the THAI operating departments; to support operational excellence; prevent accidents and incidents; and manage enterprise risk.
Furthermore, the TIMM provides an overview of the THAI management of safety, security and compliance as reflected in our policy, organization, system, and procedures which are contained in the manuals of the respective departments concerned.
To achieve high corporate standards of safety, it is vital that all managers ensure that they and their staff have a clear understanding of this overview in order to coordinate their efforts to work toward common goals of excellence in safety.
