. In this present work, p53 was up-regulated by PFPE
which was related to cell cycle arrest resulting in decreasing of
tumor size. In addition, an increasing of p53 level partially contributed
to induce cancer cell apoptosis. The up-regulation of p53
is linked to the repression level of c-Myc and co-induction to cell
cycle arrest. Either p53 or c-Myc is a transcriptional factor, they
shares some similar target molecules. In human and rat cells and
tissues, p53 is found to repress c-Myc expression in G1 phase of
cell cycle
