2.3. Production of mung bean sprouts
Roughly 40.0 g of fresh mung beans in the 250 ml beaker were
soaked in the treating solutions (different EFW) for 8 h. Then
treated mung beans were drained and put into a plastic box with
holes in the bottom at the room temperature (23 2 C). The same
treatment solutions were used to water the treated mung beans 4
times every day until the mung bean sprouts were harvested.
