Typical spectrum for intact avocado fruit after spectral pre-processing using SG first derivative and SNV is presented.Obtained spectrum was characterised by prominent peak sat 950, 1000, 1150, 1350, 1400, and 1900 nm. These spectral peaksare similar to those observed in avocado. Spectral variables which made significant contribution to the calibration and prediction models for target maturity parameters were explicated from the regression coefficient curves. Spectral ranges with high absolute regression coefficients indicated that the variables were significant to the model while the regression coefficients close to zero did not contribute to the models.
