As people experience higher levels of self-expression and personal control, there is anincreased likelihood that the individual will attribute positive events to themselves, therebyaffecting their level of organization-based self-esteem. It could be argued that as workenvironment structure decreases and personal control increases, people will come to seethemselves as capable of independent action and thereby develop a sense of self-worthconsistent with that personal image.
