Corporate Security Administrator Roles and Responsibilities
Introduction:
To ensure proper administration of the User ID's with access to Ford Motor Company Internet applications, Ford worked with Covisint to design a security system called Covisint Connection and Administration (CCA). This system allows you to assign the company administrator role to a CCA user account. Both Ford and Covisint have different name for these roles:
• Ford refers to this role as the Primary Corporate Security Administrator (PCSA)
• Covisint refers to them as the Security Administrator and FSP Service Administrator
For the remainder of this document, we will refer to the company administrator role in the Ford terminology, PCSA. The PCSA will have responsibility for creating and maintaining User ID's for access to the Ford Supplier Portal and Ford web applications for employees within your organization. The PCSA can also create subordinate administrators to manage the workload of maintaining User ID's.
Choosing the Primary Corporate Security Administrator (PCSA):
It is important to choose the right person to serve as the PCSA to make security work smoothly. The PCSA should typically be someone at the corporate level who already has responsibility for Information Systems Security. A range of applications currently reside on the Ford Supplier Portal and we plan to release new applications in the future. Once the applications are fully deployed on this web site, it will be necessary to manage IDs for personnel across many different departments in your company. Therefore, Ford recommends that you choose someone who manages IDs for multiple departments.
Communications:
The PCSA will also serve as a point of communication for Ford Systems. When Ford Systems need to communicate information regarding connectivity to your users, we will contact your PCSA. The PCSA will be responsible for communicating the information to the users within your company.
