Water adsorption on iron surface has been experimentally studied using photo luminescence techniques [4]. Kolotyrkin and coworks [1] studied the water-iron interface using electroreflection spectroscopy. Hung [2,3] analyzed the adsorption and dissociation of water on a Fe (1 0 0) surface by High Resolution Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy spectrum (HREELS) at various temperatures. These authors showed that the interaction between water molecules and iron surfaces is performed by several steps, which is initiated by deposition of water on metallic surface, followed by a charge transference process.
