We well received of initiative directions on this parasite issue both finished product and raw mat of the red salmon outlined by CL's with thanks. We would like to make our valid comments in the below session. In any case, as far as this product "150 g CL Skinless/Boneless Sockeye" is concerned, we all have same groundwork that:
1. It is acknowledged this project of canned and pouch salmon are the coordination by 3 parties; PFI, CL/BB and JMB. PFI's role is more toward co-packer with closed consultation and co-decision with JMB and BB/CL on both Raw mat purchase (Price, Vol and Whose supplier to purchase from) and the back-to-back orders to match all raw material procured during its harvest season. This means though PFI purchased and produced products according to CL's guideline, the said 3 parties; PFI, BB/CL and JMB, will assure to fully support one another to ascertain the products will be produced and delivered in good & sound conditions and would find all possible way to solve problem as arisen in all good faith.
2. Though Parasite is a natural defect in wide caught salmon, but honestly speaking, it is to our great surprise with inexperience for such an excessive level found in this raw mat lot which unsighted and unintentionally contained defect in canned red salmon intended for BB/CL (5 lots 3988 cs of 24s) with doubtful direction as of now. In addition, there are approx 90 mt of raw mat were held either for any other direction or rejection in the worst.
Having read thru the paper on the initiative criteria on the presence of parasites both on raw mat and finished product. Hereunder are our comments and position towards the finished products and raw mats:
3. For Finished product and RM criteria: we agree to CL's proposal for establishment of parameters on parasites by
