I rather liked how it played out in the book inasmuch as Aim did not become the focus between Phun and Noh. They went on were their daily lives which I thought help to build suspense because you knew someday Phun would find out. We just didn’t know how.
I agree. I do. P’Hed built a lot of tension by doing that. Waiting, waiting, waiting! Until we screamed for The bell to ring. But that does mean that we will have 15 episodes at least devoted to waiting for the same bell to ring. I think this change in Noh is only temporary. He’s probably going to go back to school, Ohm will pick on him for not sleeping with Yuri, so he’ll be off “dating” her again so she’ll forget all about the sun block slathering. Noh will go back to wanting to keep Phun happy, and if that means keeping him happy with Aim, he won’t tell. We’ll settle back into the novel. But for that tension to work onscreen, I think we need to see that Noh would be capable of doing something. And I think the writers accomplished that here. He could…but won’t because he thinks that will keep Phun happy. He’s less weak.
We don’t want to turn him into Cinderella. Just waiting for that glass slipper to find her solving all of her problems. He should look like he wants to do something and can, but won’t.
Agreed. As reader we can fill in the blanks but as a viewer we need a little help. But if they make major changes (such as Phun or Noh sleeping with other people) I am not sure I will watch any further episodes
