Please be reminded that we should not speak directly to customers (either via email or phone) other than to direct them to their appropriate Cust Ops representative (ACO). We had a recent incident (attached) where a customer directly contacted the factory for assistance, got inventory information and direction to have the ACO create a delivery. We should never give this type of information out to the customer. In this situation the inventory was allocated to another customer. This placed the ACO in an awkward situation of denying the material to the customer (who knew there was boxstock inventory).
Please make sure to advise your staff of this.
