Oral temperatures slightly underestimated core temperatures
(PA), however, oral temperatures along with TA were
the most accurate and precise compared to other non-invasive
temperature measures (axillary and TM) (Lawson et al.,
2007). Oral and TA temperatures had a mean difference
from PA temperatures of 0.09 ± 0.43 °C and -0.02 ±
0.47 °C respectively; as compared mean differences from
PA of 0.23 ± 0.44 °C (axillary) and -0.36 ± 0.56 °C
(TM) (Lawson et al., 2007).
