The Southwest University of Political Science & Law in Chongqing, aka the most bad-ass school in China, offers an optional motorcycle class to all of its students.
The course instructor, named Yuan Yue, said in a Sina News report that the class used to be mandatory for students majoring in criminal investigation, but the course has been optional since 2007. We're not sure who would opt not to get college credit by cruisin' around campus in a motorcycle, and that's probably why the class has proved to be so popular.
Yuan revealed that while the the course is only open to 120-150 students, it's become quite competitive as over 600 people have expressed their enthusiasm in joining.
The instructor explained that for the final exam, students must be able to drive the motorcycle safely on their own.
