that they were “on the right track” during the learning process, suggesting that the rules,
division of labor, and structure of the community are all significantly affected (and
changed) when students use a different major tool (technology) to learn content when
compared to a traditional lecture course. This, as already stated, was expected in this
study. However, I believed that after a few weeks, students would settle in and “find their
footing” so to speak with how to successfully navigate the course. While this happened
for some students, an unexpected percentage of the students were left struggling, and I
did not anticipate this result, particularly when reflecting on studies in the literature.
