(1) In this section—
officer in charge means the person who, under a direction of
the commissioner, is in charge at an accident.
(2) Every member of an ambulance service (or similar body
providing ambulance services) from outside Queensland who
assists at an accident in Queensland and any plant and
equipment in the member’s charge is at the disposal of the
officer in charge and is taken to be under the control and
direction of that officer.
(3) If there is no officer in charge, the member of the ambulance
service or similar body from outside Queensland who is in
charge of other members of that ambulance service or similar
body has—
(a) the control and direction of all persons assisting at the
accident; and
(b) all the powers conferred by or under this Act on an
authorised officer.
