Great care must be taken in the wider applicability of these results. The variability, in biophysical conditions and land management regimes, within the Middle Hills should mean that erosion losses are highly variable. The findings in the Likhu Khola catchment suggest that losses are greater on the finer-textured soils, especially the red soils.
