1. Introduction
Today, the toxicity and contamination potential of heavy metals
in paints has prompted great interest in daily life [1]. Paint
is widely used in our life [2], so it is very important and necessary
to rigidly control the harmful substances in paint samples.
Cadmium exists broadly in environment [3–12]. It is severely
dangerous to animal and human. Cadmium mainly distributes
in animal’s liver and kidney. It impairs liver, kidney, spleen,
etc., and induces immune suppression and cancer. There are
some reports about determination of cadmium by electrothermal
atomic absorption spectrometry [13–19]. Optical temperature
control is to attain the temperature control through optical fiber
end. Heating in maximum power through light sensor control can
warm graphite rapidly and get to predetermined value immediately.
Setting suitable time parameters to match the speed of
response and heating rate, it can obtain a higher sensitivity.
The determination of trace elements with optical temperature
control has rarely been reported at present although the optical
temperature control method in GFAAS has been developed
