Social Media is a generic term for services offered on the Internet founded on the principle of active participation by the users, primarily providing means of communication among users. It refers to media that continue to be formed by the users who dissipate information. Information that is dissipated by an individual is made public to an unspecified number of users, who, upon viewing the information, may post a response. Social Media includes blogs, SNS (Social Networking Service), social bookmarks wherein favorited items are shared via the Internet, social news sites, online encyclopedias, user-review sites, FAQ sites, video-sharing sites and bulletins, among others.
