2.7. Determination of respiration rates
The potato slices (200 g) were placed in plastic containers and sealed for 12 h at 3 °C storage temperature. The CO2 concentration was measured using CO2 instrument (PBI-940437B, PBI Dansensor, Denmark). The respiration rate was calculated as described previously by Castelló, Fito, and Chiralt (2006).
2.8. Experimental design and statistical analysis
All experiments were conducted with three replicates per treatment in a completely randomized design. Data were analysed by ANOVA with mean separation and LSD at P < 0.05. All data represented in the figures were the means of three replicates ± standard deviation.
