The Little Farm Friendly Project might be the place for your gap year destination if you love animals, nature, children, organic vegetable farming and want to find a new experience in Thailand. At my little farm I have to take care of the animals and to make a traditional vegetable garden every day. The volunteer job consists of helping to care for the animals such as building or cleaning the animal stables, feeding, bathing and raising the animals. You will not only learn about farm work and the ways of sustainable agriculture, you will meet new friends from different cultures. We have many interesting activities for you to join, which will strengthen the relationship. So, come over whenever you'd like to.
Location: Suanphung, Ratchaburi, Thailand
Volunteer Work: Although every day can be different, there are several jobs that need to be done every day. These include feeding, bathing, cleaning, and checking on the animal's condition, as well as building the animal stables. When required, you are also requested to help with any other tasks that need to be done (e.g. planting the vegetable garden, responding to e-mails, etc). Besides working together with the animals and natural farm, you are also expected to support with general activities like cooking and cleaning. You need to show respect to the local Thai culture, be open minded and be prepared to take part in daily rural village life.
