During the first season, the tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L., cultivar Zhongyan) plants were transplanted on December 26, 2010. In the second season, the tomato plants (S. lycopersicum L., cultivar O yadi) were transplanted on September 21, 2011.
These two tomato varieties were the local leading varieties and belong to pink tomato
series. The different dates of transplanting for the two growth seasons represent the typical annual rotation of the crops grown in solar greenhouses in the region. The crop grown before the first season
was green beans.
The crop after the second season was tomato, transplanted on February 28, 2012. The lengths of the four crop growth stages in each season were divided as proposed by Allen
et al. (1998) (Table 1).
