- Obtain or prepare a trial balance of accounts payable as of the balance sheet date and reconcile with the general ledger.
- Select sample of purchase transaction 3 – 5 days before and after the Financial date to ensure that purchase transaction are recorded in appropriate accounting period.
- Observe and record the last number of bill of landing in this period to ensure that purchase transactions are recorded in appropriate accounting period.
- Inspection incoterm on bill of lading to ensure that transaction are properly record period and completeness.
- Inquiry accountant about the good received are not input and process to A/P sub-Ledger, account payable that are not recorded and right and obligation about goods receives.
- Recalculate balances of account payable ledger and account payable subsidiary ledger by inspection of supporting documents.
- Select sample of account payable subsidiary ledger and then, vouching balances of sample payable subsidiary ledger by inspection of supporting documents.
