In the present study, isolation and purification of phenolic
constituents from emblica fruit were done using Sephadex
LH-20 chromatography and reverse-phase HPLC. The
structures of these purified compounds were identified
using UV spectrophotometry, MS and NMR spectroscopy.
Furthermore, the inhibition capacity of lipid peroxidation
and DPPH radical scavenging activity of the purified compounds
were also investigated.
