As a millennial woman, I’m normally strapped to my phone and I honestly cannot figure out how people made it without a device – we are truly living in incredible times and I’m so lucky to have this technology that helps me succeed, be my best self, and stay informed. It does come with drawbacks. I worry that if my phone is not in hand, and screen is not in sight, that I’ll miss a text/call/email/notification that I’m expecting – or miss a call from someone like my grandfather in an emergency. This anxiety is especially heightened when I’m in a setting where I know better than to have my phone in view, such as at a dinner table, during a conversation, while driving, or at a social event.
