In the context of supply chain coordination, one of our first initiatives was the development of the Framework for Intelligent Supply Chain Collaboration (FRISCO) (Küppers 2014). This framework enables the design and evaluation of CP concepts in heterarchical SCs. The framework’s applicability for SPSC has been proven by formal modelling and evaluation of a first collaboration concept, being designed based on the given industrial scenario of Coester. Since this single application of CP in SPSC has shown promising results for improving the SPSC performance, further and more sophisticated CP concepts have to be developed and evaluated regarding their applicability in different SPSC scenarios encompassing the range of tactical and operational planning.
