State Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan has arrived in Bangkok for an official visit to Thailand from June 20-24 at the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
During her four-day visit, Mrs Doan will meet with Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and hold talks with PM Yingluck Shinawatra on measures to boost bilateral cooperation.
She will visit the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Village in Nakhon Phanom province where late President Ho Chi Minh once lived and worked from 1928-1929 as part of his overseas trip to find ways to save the nation.
Vice President Doan will also meet overseas Vietnamese in Khon Kaen province and the provincial governor, and visit the one-pillar pagoda project at Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Park- a symbol of Vietnam-Thailand friendship.
Mrs Doan’s visit will help further strengthen solidarity and friendship between the two countries’ people.
