The demand for skills changes. Out type of work environment requires change. We need Change-friendly people who can deal with uncertainty and ambiguity , think strategically, and Work in a project-based , teamwork format . it seems that only about 10 percent of AT&T’s workforce at this time is built to handle an RL-type structure without a major amount of reorientation and retooling . We began to say ourselves, “Why are we prolonging the inevitable for them? Let’s help them get on with their lives.”
