The first part of this review will deal with results from QoL studies in OCD using generic (illness-unspecific) instruments. These data will be com¬plemented by objective data on the economic and social situation of OCD patients. The author will then turn to specific correlates and contribu¬tors to QoL in OCD. Subsequently, novel results will be presented from a survey conducted with 105 OCD patients, which was set up with the help of the German and Swiss Societies for Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (DGZ, SGZ).
