Although a little stiff right out of the box, after walking around in them and unleashing them in a few training sessions, the Gresca really started to soften and began to mold around the contours of my feet. The midfoot particularly, with its mixture between synthetic leather and mesh provided for a fantastic fit that continues to improve with time.
The vulcanized gum rubber sole is extremely thick when compared to the soles utilized by competing companies for their respective indoor shoes, and I believe that this is an absolute masterstroke by MUNICH. Repeatedly playing on hard surfaces has led to shin splints and worse in the past for me personally, but the thick sole as well as the cushioning EVA insole alleviates almost all of that unwanted pressure and reduces the impact on my poor legs. This ends up making for an incredibly comfortable shoe that is almost unparalleled on the market.
In regards to the fit and sizing of the shoe, it should be noted that the Gresca fits very large. I am usually a US10.5, but wore a US10 for this review and found it to be about the right size for me personally. There is a little wiggle room in the toe area however, so if you are a fan of extremely tight shoes, you might consider going down a full size.
