on agar medium to the beginning of the stationary phase. The medium and incubation conditions of each strain were those indicated by the depositor. The number of strains and storage period for each species and the medium were as follows:
Saccharomyces cerevisiae (102 strains stored for 0–20 years), mostly YM, YPD; Escherichia coli(144 strains stored for 0–20 years), Pseudomonas putida (45 strains stored for 0–20 years), Enterobacter cloacae (11 strains stored for 1–15 years), mostly NB and LB for the three species; Lactobacillus acidophilus(8 strains stored for 3–15 years), mostly
Rogosa and MRS; Enterococcus faecium (5 strains stored for 0–16 years), Rogosa.
