In some circumstances, if the power production is limited or
the charter rates are significantly high, it might be cost-effective to
wait (the input [6]) before chartering the jack-up vessel; so when
the jack-up vessel arrives at the offshore wind farm, multiple
failures can be repaired. It is assumed that the technicians on the
jack-up vessel work 24 hours on three shift basis; therefore, a shift
start input is not defined for the jack-up vessel operations. The
inputs [7–15] display the generic characteristics of the jack-up
vessel.
