On behalf of IITP, I would like to thank you and your team for visiting Korea last week and participating in the TOPCIT Workshop. TPQI's presentation on the future plans of HR (including civil servants) IT literacy training and competency assessment has provided us with a clear picture of how IITP could provide support for Thailand in the future. Our president has also expressed his delight in seeing you again, but also expressed his regret in not being able to welcome you properly in person.
As for the meeting with the TOPCIT team after the Hanium Opening Ceremony, we believe we have discussed a good amount of plans and collaboration for 2017.
The first topic of the meeting was about the progress and future for TOPCIT Thailand. From what we understand, TPQI would like to carry out TOPCIT twice every year. For each TOPCIT in Thailand, there will always be one in Bangkok and another in a city other than Bangkok (Chiangmai, Chiangrai, Hatyai, UbonRatchathani, etc.). Starting from next year, we will begin localization (training) so that Thailand could administer TOPCIT without the presence of IITP employee in the country. IITP is grateful to TPQI for all the progress made and TPQI's hard efforts in helping implement TOPCIT in Thailand for the ICT Specialists.
The second topic of the meeting was the competency and IT literacy evaluation for eGov. The eGov team is looking for tests to assess the IT literacy and competency for Thai Government HR. In order to do this, the team is looking for existing evaluation tests to use or will refer to existing model when developing their own test. As discussed in the meeting, IITP will help administer a separate special TOPCIT (without Technical Field) just for Government HR. Secondly, we will also provide the framework for primay/secondary IT education evaluation model. Lastly, we will also share Technical Communication, Project Management, and IT Business materials with TPQI so that it would help the development of a customized test in Thailand.
