Step 1 consists of recognizing the health problem, the factorsthat should be addressed to minimize or eliminate it, thepopulation to be targeted, and the behaviour and environmentalfactors associated with this main health problem. Plannerselaborate programme objectives in step 2. Step 3 identifies thetheoretical bases of the intervention and selects methods as well aspractical applications to achieve change objectives. Step 4 isoriented towards structural programme organisation, the produc-tion of intervention materials and the identification of projectpartners. Step 5 seeks to plan programme implementation andadoption, whilst step 6 comprises programme evaluation. Adescription and details of each step applied in the present projectare presented. They should be useful for potential replication inschools confronted by a similar problem.
