The physical properties of the BC papers, such as wet strength retention were figured out as 124.2, 25.7, and 12.2%, respectively, however, the oil resistant value of the bioreactor BC paper was so poor in comparison with that of the static tray and shaking flask. From this evidence, it was shown that only BC paper from the static tray and shaking flask exhibited the characteristics of specialty parchment paper. Furthermore, the SEM micrographs of BC paper from the static tray and shaking flask showed the crystalline fibril layers with an orderly fibril layer arrangement, whereas that from the bioreactor was disorderly. A hypothesis on the correlation between the parchment paper property and the orderly fibril layer arrangement of BC paper has been notified.
