Macroinvertebrates are among the most popular
indicators used in biotic indices and other biological
methods due mainly to their relative large size, low cost
and ease of sampling, relatively easy identification, and
relatively long life cycles (Hellawell, 1986; Metcalfe, 1989;
Rosenberg and Resh, 1993; Metcalfe-Smith, 1996; Kazancı
et al., 1997, Reece and Richardson, 2000).
