The clinical complications of mesiodens are as follows:
Impaction of maxillary central incisor;
Tooth retention or delayed eruption of permanent incisors;
Axial rotation or inclination of erupted permanent incisors;
Eruption within the nasal cavity; formation of diastema;
Intraoral infection, pulpitis of mesiodens;
Root anomaly;
Root resorption of adjacent teeth;
Cyst formation accompanied by bone destruction.[3,5]
