Pectins from apple pomace were extracted with xylanase
(Pentopan, Novozyme Co.) produced by Thermomyces lanuginosus
and the multicatalytic preparation Celluclast 1.5 L (Novozymes
Co.) derived from Trichoderma reesei ATCC 26921. Both preparations
are recommended for pectin extraction and allow to obtain
pectins of particularly high molecular mass
