•To lead the Materials department which includes purchasing, production & material planning, inventory management, order administration, Shipping/Custom & Customer Service function to achieve company’s objectives
•Comply with Corporate Policies & Procedures for Purchasing/ Planning/ Inventory Management / Shipping /Order Administration. Establish local procedures to comply with local legal requirements.
•Ensure on time delivery to achieve customer satisfaction.
•Ensure effective production planning and purchase materials at the most valued price upon evaluation of vendors on quality, price, delivery, credit term, technical support etc.
•Perform supplier and vendor management to ensure the continual supply of material and services and achieve cost reduction. (PPV - purchase price variance)
•Ensure an optimal inventory level to meet customer requirement w/o compromising on DOS and E&O .(monthly inventory and E&O review is minimum requirement)
•Ensure effective and optimal use of warehouse space.
•Ensure safety and housekeeping standards/ regulations are maintained.
•Improve work environment through 5S implementation and maintaining a high standard of co-operation and team spirit.
