3. Results and discussion
Fig. 1 shows the morphological distribution of synthesized
TAA/TiP nanomaterials by using acetone as solvent, where platelet
and tubular particles were obtained. Except for triethyl- and
tripropylamine, nanotubular samples were obtained when TAA
were used. Probably, the nanotube synthesis is a consequence
of the combination of two factors: first, the electrostatic interaction
between the nitrogen of the trialkylamine molecules and
the hydrogen belonging to the inorganic skeleton of the titanium
phosphate that seeks to be maximum and, secondly, the pseudoconical
geometric shape of the trialkylamine molecules that limits
the number of accessible acid centers (see Ref. [11]).
