Dorothy has surgery scheduled for 26th. Aug. in Chennai and we are flying there on the 22nd. We have been told by the Indian Embassy to apply on-line but the medical visa option is not an option on the website for the Indian Embassy, Bangkok..
Can you therefore please clarify urgently how we go about applying. If a medical visa is unavailable in Thailand, can we travel on a tourist visa instead?
If we are to apply for a tourist visa, can you please tell us how to go about that. We are coming to Bangkok on Aug. 10th. Can we apply in person or do we have to apply on-line?
If we apply on-line, is the application form submitted on-line with supporting documents provided by us in person at the time when we visit you? We have now booked all our flights and accommodation so it is crucial that the visas for both of us are granted in a timely manner.
We have an invitation from Dr. Vijay C. Bose of the Asian Joint Reconstruction Institute, SRM Institutes for Medical Science, No. 1, Jawaharlal Nehru Rd., Vadapalani Chennai 600026. Will this invitation, along with paid return air tickets, be sufficient supporting documentation for our visa application?
Your urgent attention to our queries will be most appreciated.
Thanks and regards,
Jim Donald and Jean Tallentire
