My dream office would be warm, bright - and maybe by a swimming pool
I get really easily cold. I’m like a cat searching for the warmest place and hardly ever thinking it’s too hot. In addition to warmth, I appreciate surroundings that make me want to look at them, on and on. What I think is worth looking at varies, but in most cases it’s not white plasterboard walls next to my eyes.
At our workplace in Turku Technology Properties’ office, no one has their own office but instead we even share the same table in one big room. Almost daily we end up discussing what would be the perfect temperature for us, should or shouldn’t people tell jokes while others are working or if we like a colour of some wall or not.
Since we’ve noticed that the opinions on perfect temperature, sounds or colours - just name it - differ significantly, we wanted to organize a workshop where everybody could design their dream office and tell others about it. The world is full of different offices from boring factory look-alikes to cool club rooms which all supposedly have their own supporters.
In order to serve our clients as well as possible, we want to know what companies and people behind them would appreciate if for once there were no limits of any kind (such as money). We believe that new ideas on workspace design can generate growth and willingness to invest in the office – the place where people spend one third of their days and where they are supposed to come up with groundbreaking ideas and new innovations.
In my opinion our office is awesome. It’s bright, colourful and it has huge windows. It’s more or less everything we wanted. However, it might not be what you dream of. So come to the workshop, show us what your dream office would look like and win Mauno Sauna with food and drinks for one night for your team.
