The researchers aimed to include an equal number of participants in each of the two study groups (both the high-risk pregnancy group and normal term pregnancy group). Women were interviewed using a convenience sampling method until 939 participants were interviewed; however, 539 of them were excluded because of not meeting the inclusion criteria. Therefore, 400 women were included in the study, with 200 participants in each of the high-risk or normal term pregnancy
groups. Those meeting the below inclusion criteria were assigned to one of two groups.
